Easier access to hearing aids through our solidarity network
At FoRom écoute, we know that hearing well is essential to staying connected with loved ones, maintaining independence, and improving quality of life. That is why, together with a network of committed partners, we have launched a solidarity project to help people with modest incomes access suitable hearing aids, by minimizing their out-of-pocket costs.
🔁 Refurbished devices for a second life
Our primary solution is to offer refurbished hearing aids, which are inspected and restored to perfect working order. These devices are then adjusted by the hearing care professional of your choice, according to your specific hearing needs.The costs for fine-tuning are covered by FoRom écoute up to CHF 250.–, and the refurbished device is provided free of charge.
🆕 What if a refurbished device isn't right for you?
If no refurbished device can be adapted to your hearing, FoRom écoute will examine the possibility of providing you with financial support for the purchase of a new hearing aid, in addition to insurance coverage or social benefits.
✅ Who is eligible for this assistance?
To be eligible for this service, you must:
- Reside in French-speaking Switzerland
- Have a hearing loss of at least 30%, confirmed by an audiogram
- Never have received financial assistance related to a hearing impairment
- Have a modest income (assessed during your application)
